Some customers who have ordered the blade of the plate shearing machine will find that the blade body is usually not a straight line when receiving the blade for installation, but the two ends of the blade of the plate shearing machine bend to one side and the middle bend to the other side. There are many reasons for this situation, which are closely related to the material and the feed rate of the sharpened tool in heat treatment.

In fact, long cutting tools such as plate shears produced by metal will be deformed. The deformation degree of T10 steel is the easiest, and the better other materials are used, the lower the deformation degree is. However, this means that even if SKD11 imported from Japan and D2 from the United States are used as plate shears, some deformation will occur, and the deformation is most likely to occur in two places, One is that during heat treatment, due to the rapid cooling of the blade after heating, the blade body will be deformed due to the change of crystal. This deformation can be adjusted and tempered later to make it relatively straight.

The hardened and tempered knife will finally be put on the surface grinder for processing and grinding to the required size. In this process, the grinding wheel rotates rapidly and contacts with the cutter of the plate shear to grind back and forth on the knife body, which will make the blade produce a lot of heat. There is a water pipe on the grinder, and water flows out when starting the grinding head, which has reached the purpose of reducing the temperature on the knife body. At this time, due to thermal expansion and cold contraction, the knife will bend to a certain extent. This bending is what you see when the blade of the plate shear reaches the customer's hand.
